Ingredients
- 1 x 500g Golden Cloud Chocolate Cake Premix
- ¼ cup (60ml) brown sugar
- 1 Tbsp instant coffee
- ½ cup (125ml) melted butter
- 1 egg
- 2 egg yolks
- ⅓ cup (80ml) water
- 3 x 80g Heavenly Milk Chocolate
- flaked salt
- 1 x 125g Toffchoc Original
- ½ cup (125ml) cream or milk
Caramel sauce:
Method
- Preheat oven to 160°C and line a 30 x 20cm baking tray with baking paper.
- Combine Golden Cloud Chocolate Cake Premix, icing mix, sugar and coffee.
- Combine butter, eggs, water and add to dry ingredients until well combined. Be careful not to overmix.
- Roughly chop two Heavenly Milk Chocolate bars (see Cook’s Note) and fold through brownie batter.
- Spoon into prepared tray and spread evenly.
- Break the remaining chocolate into blocks and gently nestle them into brownie batter.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes. Allow to cool completely before cutting into 16 squares.
- Combine Toffchoc Originals and cream in a saucepan over medium heat to make the caramel sauce.
- Stir until melted and well combined.
- Serve brownies drizzled with caramel sauce and a sprinkle of salt.
Cook's note:
Coat the chopped chocolate in 1 Tbsp (15ml) flour before adding to the batter. This prevents the chocolate from sinking to the bottom as it bakes. What you need
