Liquorice Allsorts Bars
What’s better than buttery, chocolatey biscuit bars? Well, the genius addition of Liquorice Allsorts, of course!
Ingredients
- ½ cup (125g) butter, cubed
- ½ can (about 195g) condensed milk
- 1 Tbsp (15ml) golden syrup
- 1 packet (200g) Marie biscuits, crushed
- ½ cup (125ml) desiccated coconut
- 1 packet (150g) Liqourice Allsorts, roughly chopped
For Serving
- 3 slabs (80g each) Heavenly Milk Chocolate
- 1 Tbsp (15ml) canola or coconut oil
Method
-
Line a 28 x 18cm-deep pan with baking paper. Make sure you leave paper hanging over the edges to help you remove before slicing.
-
Combine butter, condensed milk and golden syrup in a saucepan over low heat and cook for 5 minutes or until butter has melted and the mixture is smooth.
-
Remove from heat.
-
Pour into a large heatproof bowl and add the biscuits, coconut and Liqourice Allsorts.
-
Stir until just combined.
-
Press the mixture into the base of the prepared tin.
-
Melt the chocolate and oil in the microwave in 30-second spurts until it has just melted.
-
Pour the melted chocolate over the top, smooth out using the back of a spoon.
-
Allow to set in the fridge for about 2 hours before slicing with a hot knife.
